Fulda Gap, Oct 15-16, 2011, CDWC, Taylorsville, NC

This is a standard "green vs. tan" game loosely based on a 1980's Cold War scenario set in central Europe, with a massive turnout, last year was 525 players, on a very large venue with multiple objectives.
Havoc28, Stonewall, Lunchbox, and Fallout attended last year and had a blast.

Combloc side wears Tan (tan based camo, etc), Nato wears Green (green based) again this year. So you'll see 1980's "Soviets" in multicam with camelbacks, plate carriers, and M4's.

In short it is mindless fun on a big field with a lot of targets, no responsibilities, kids can play, and mesh goggles are okay. Cost is cheap, a mere $30.
On the minus side, it is a paintball-style massacre of history/believability, a huge ponderous affair, and NC uses a 450 fps limit (400fps with .25g) that will take some adapting to.

Location is in central NC.
I'm attending this year with Chris, and Fallout will be bringing his tank. Jordan, Brandon, Dan, Don, Jason, Wallaby and several others from TBJ and team Llama are attending.

Likewise! I regret that some personal troubles have kept me from traveling back up to the Athens area in the past few months, though I should be able to attend more frequently now.

You posted that a day before I replied to it. We already knew, buddy.

Additionally, we knew we were going to be Warsaw Pact from the start, we just had to settle on which pattern from there, if we were going with the D&T standard pattern or with a proper 'tan' pattern.

just to let everyone know...mesh goggles are not going to be allowed at fulda...as per thumpy on the NCAO forums...

CDWC 2010-2011 FIELD SAFETY RULES (revised June 2011)

All players must read and agree to follow all player safety rules, field safety guidelines, and sign the waiver of liability and hold harmless agreement prior to participation in any paintball activities without exception. Any violation of the safety rules will result in mandatory ejection from the field and/or premises.

1) SAFETY GOGGLES must be worn by anyone in the playing field and chronograph/target range at all time. Only ASTM Goggle systems specifically approved for paintball that provide full face and ear protection, or full seal ASTM goggles for airsoft are allowed. Airsoft players under the age of 18 must wear full face protection. CDWC will rent paintball goggles to airsoft players to meet this requirement. Modifications to goggles are strictly prohibited.

nice.....another rules change a week before the game....sounds like a good way to rent more field goggles...
