Echo 1 MP5 RIS Not shooting.
Ok, if any one had read my introduction post I explained a bit what happened. I finally have had some time to sit down and mess with it a bit and think I have figured out what's happening, I believe at any rate, so I figured I'd update to see if any one knows how to fix it. It seems that the mp5 is open bolt, forgive the paintball terminology I'm not sure if its used for airsoft, and the bolt is staying just a tad bit too far forward to let a bb into the chamber. Any suggestions? If not, any one have any opinions on a CYMA M14 Socom?

Thought I'd figured it out but whatever slides the bb's forward, I'm assuming is called the bolt is stuck a few mm's forward and prevents the bb's from loading

the nozzle moves back and forward via the tappit plate hold the gun upside down look in hop up pull trigger see if it moves with the trigger pull could be broke tappit plate or the nub on the gear could be gone , hope this helps if you can make to a game day i'm sure someone can look at it for you

I turned it upside down to look in where the bb's load if that is what you mean and did power it up and pull the trigger it snaps forward then back into its almost all the way back position.

I may just end up getting the m14 because I love the look of those any way and bring the mp5 with me when I get to go to a game day, hopefully one will be a bit closer to me college and work don't allow for much traveling xD

So do I, I'm actually deciding between the Galaxy MP5K or a CYMA/AGM M14

I'm not a particularly HUGE fan of MP5's I just enjoy the compact design. Still sort of leaning towards the m14 just because they are gorgeous. 3 round burst isn't something I will be terribly interested in, I don't really even see using Fully Automatic other than a few long range let me get lucky situations.

Ah, I may end up waiting on the m14. I keep looking at the mp5k I think I'm sold, probably use that until I can get a DMR or a bolt action and use it as a sidearm.

Me being the superior mind changer I am I decided against the mp5k for now, I think I'm going to order a type 96 when my buddy orders his m4 tomorrow that way when i get the mp5 fixed I'll have two different sorts of guns. When I have two guns I'm much less nervous about taking one apart when the other works xD. I thought there were some local players (Enterprise, AL) but I'm not sure if they are still around, might try and get in touch and see if they have any one with some experience of tearing them down and see what part is shot or needs adjustment.
