Re: Pistol Debate
.22----Perfect for up close assassinations when you want the bullet to rattle around the skull
instead of making a big mess.
.380---As far as I am concerned, this is for old-school gumshoe revolvers and girls.
9mm----Standard NATO round, ubiquitous; everyone should keep a few thousand rounds on hand.
.40----Never heard of it.
.44----Isn’t this what Dirty Harry used? So see .380.
.45----Reputed man-stopper. I’m sure the .22 would say the same thing.

Re: Pistol Debate
Pretty much a .45 ACP guy, I will NEVER part with my P220, N-E-V-E-R! And a 1911 provides an unrivaled and irrefutable sense of confidence. I must admit however, I carry my wife's P230 in a very girly and inherently pink .380 ACP (too true Chuy!) waaay more than anything else. It is simply too comfortable, stainless, and bloody accurate it is quite nearly absurd (yes, I did say it, accurate.... fixed barrel and all that, eh). All that being said, I truly miss the Browning High-Power I had once upon a time, it was chambered in .40 S&W and I used it for practical shooting and as a carry-gun for many years. I LOVED that thing (although clearly not as much as my P-220!) it just had a brilliant point to it and if it came in a single stack and wasn't so gawd-awful fat in the hand (wait, that would've just made it a 1911, du'oh!), I would've never parted with it; that and I needed a new baby crib (thanks a lot Zach!). The trigger break was as crisp as a fresh tortilla chip, a delicious gun all the way 'round.
To be honest, I miss every gun I ever owned, irregardless the calibre. I think back of them like old girlfriends.
