Just shoppin' around. 195 on sale for 155 with the GISanta code brings it to 115. So, is it worth it?

The only concern I have is battery, they can only take the single stick battery which limits your options since it doesn't have a full stock.

That's one of the things I was thinking of - although that model comes with a battery (at least for the mean time), and the other is, I think it uses TM magazines, but I have no idea.
As to a rail - they have kits for the front hand guard that I would consider, for next christmas or whenever I get a bonus from work next, whichever comes first.

you could fit a 7.4v lipo in there though really easily, I'm about to sell one cheap, its new, I ran my G&G off of it for a game, and now tore it down to do upgrades and the 7.4 isnt strong enough to pull the gearbox now.

Re: This AK worth it?
This particular model was 50% off - I was looking (and kinda preferring) the ARES M4, but wondering if this was just too good to pass up.
The only rail that I want to put on anything is a red or red/green dot, and after looking around on the tubes, I can see that I could hard mount it on the upper receiver cover plate (above the battery).
The battery is an issue, I guess. I'd have to have a backup charging while I played - but I don't know if I'd only need 1 or 10 for a game at Wilcox or wherever.

You could always run an extra stick battery and u would b fine for most gamedays unless u go to a longer op u would b fine with 1-2 batterys, but in my opinion if u want an ares i would wait and get one of those i bought an ak cuz it was a good deal at the time and sold it soon after that im just not a big fan of them but just my opinion

Re: This AK worth it?
I'm a fan of AK's in general, but the WAR team seems to be mostly AR's (all the variants thereof). My first preference is a SCAR, 'cause they just look cool, but the ARES has the hot-swap for different springs. I still have a week to decide (before the price goes up).

Re: This AK worth it?
a cyma will out class any other stock gun i've seen perhaps the one contender will be a G&G that has the stock tb in it. you can buy 7.4 and 11.1v lipos to fit the top strap. one concern about the underfolder is the stock is longer than a regular AK's so i'f you aren't a lanky operator you're going to want the stock folded.

Re: This AK worth it?
yeah cyma is the only company ill ever buy ak's from and i use a cyma cm035(aks74u) and that gun is about as long as mine with the stock folded in maybe just a little shorter but i always have the stock out iv only folded mine in once at the cqb field and i thought that it was a bit hard so i think that if you want you could fold it but i don't and i guess because my gun is short but iv seen that gun is really good at long range so i wouldn't fold it that much, and cyma has a side mount for there gun here is a link and it comes with a side mount 2.

So in conclusion, it is a good deal, and a good brand, if that is what someone wants
