Lipo batteries Empty Lipo batteries

I'm looking to find out what the maximum dimensions are for a 7.4 lipo to mount it in the buffer tube. The gun I'm ordering is wired to the back and the manufacturer suggests a 7.4. I just don't know how big a battery I can fix and Howie showed me his aeg with the lipo. Anyone know the average space available in a stock pipe?
