There was a fireman/EMT, I'm a combat life saver (although everyone thinks I'm a combat marshmallow), I'm sure there are others, and in particular, there are a lot of us who have and are self medicated.

I've had some training, but most of it was the 'positive reinforcement' kind. You know, the standard ibuprofen and ignore it technique.
Got a headache? Ibuprofen.
Hasa fever? Ibuprofen.
Bipolar? Ibuprofen.
Arm cut off? Ibuprofen.

Sure.
I watched the Predator movies.
You powder up the Ibuprofen, and some water to it, and then light it on fire. You take the paste and stick it on the stub of the lopped off arm, and some on the stub of the remainder of the arm, then you jam the two sides together and wait for it to set. You just have to remember to line things up right.
That's why people get tribal tattoos - to hide the scars. Why else would anyone get them?

My dad's a pararescue/PJ, CSAR, whatever you want to call them. I'm pretty sure he would like to come play at one of our games and if something happens he's there. He makes me carry all the medical stuff if my pack whenever I go and play just in case.
