Re: gun advice
Which gun?
Come out to the field with your friend, before you buy - look at what everyone has and get some first hand experience with 'em. Ask many questions. Then decide.

Re: gun advice
just so you know that gun is a re-brand of the crosman pulse r72.. not that it is a bad thing but i've seen that gun at walmart for alot cheaper. The reviews say good things(keeping in mind its a cheap gun). Me personally would save a little more cash and get something a little better but if you have to have something now for cheap then it seems like it would work great.
PS: here are a few ideas for a little bit more money

i'm sure you can find plenty others too

Re: gun advice
I would agree, but still hold true to what I said about coming out first. Plus, you can get things second hand for really good prices, too. If you need a gun, there are those that'll loan you one and some that'll rent them out, depending on who's there that day.

Re: gun advice
Your getting good advice here. I started with a JG M-4 s-system and loved it. I was actually sad to sell it and probably shouldn't have. Definetly come out to the field first and see what other people are running with. Feel free to ask questions and I'm positive that people will even let you put a couple BB's down range with thier guns. The worst thing is to make a purchase from the hip and then be disappointed later.

I'd go with the G&G. You get better internals and even though the blowback isn't much it's still nice. I have a top tech which is also G&G and I love it. Also ask Darkhawk what he could get for you or check here on the forums in guns for sale... you may find something already upgraded for around the same price you'd spend ordering/shipping and not have to wait for delivery.

Come out, fully equipped or not.
I'll rock the tactical blue jeans if you will.

Re: gun advice
I knew a guy who started with that litte G3 SAS. For what it is it's a fairly nice gun.
If you are interested in another very reliable starter gun the TSD/ utg trishot shotguns are darn near indestructible. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for the cost you can also afford to buys some extra shells, camo, or bbs and not worry about going over the 100 mark.
not quite as rambo of a gun but it will teach you the value of camo and ambushes.
